Took a half day off work and after doing family stuff, got down to the water an hour or so before high tide to find Dan rigging up, and Jerry turned up not long after. It was very windy, but fairly constant, so decided on the 4.2m and Tribal. I don't normally like sailing my 4.2 as it gets so twitchy compared to the bigger kit I tend to use, but today it was working really well. Started off a bit underpowered on the 21cm fin, but let off some outhaul and changed up to a 23cm fin and it was bang-on. The chop was quite close together which meant you got your teeth rattled a bit, and it didn't help my gybing, although I got round quite a few dry, although not planing - always had a grin though, even when falling off. Great blasting weather all the same. A pretty good session all in all, and I was pleased to be feeling comfortable and not 'on the edge' in those kind of winds like I am normally.
